Welcome to Dark Canyon
The purpose of this web page is to provide shooting and reloading information to people interested in the shooting sports.
This site will be constantly updated with data and information related to shooting, hunting, reloading and other items of interest.
I have been reloading ammunition and casting bullets for over thirty five years. If you have questions or anything you would like to discuss on these subjects, I would be glad to share some of my experiences with you.
I have always considered Skeeter Skelton to be one of the most entertaining writers in the firearms arena. Though he's been gone for over 20 years, I think you'll find his articles interesting and often fun to read.
For topics of a more current nature, I would strongly encourage everyone to read Colonel Dan's essays. They are well written and very informative.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
- John Stuart Mill
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. The Marines don't have that problem"
- Ronald Reagan
"An
unarmed man can only flee from evil, and evil is not overcome by fleeing from
it."
- Jeff Cooper

They Call My President A Cowboy
One day I was speeding along at the typewriter, and my daughter - who was a child at the time - asked me, "Daddy, why are you writing so fast?" And I replied, "Because I want to see how the story turns out!"
